Our Expression of the Great Commission
God has called us to do our part in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and living by the Great Commandments (Matthew 26:36-40). FAMM’s Mission & Vision are what guide us to live out the Great Commission among the unreached.
At C.H.A.R.M. Prison Ministry, we look beyond the criminal and see a person. We see prisoners as people made in God’s image, people worth getting to know. Through one-on-one relationships, we introduce them to the hope found only in Jesus Christ and lead them to reconciliation with God.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
The Mission of the PTSD Foundation of America is to bring hope and healing to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related Post Traumatic Stress.
We do this by taking a whole-person approach, offering evidence-based peer-to-peer mentoring, both on an individual basis and in group settings. In addition, our programs and services are free to the veterans and their families so that the focus remains on their journey to healing.
We take a collaborative approach to raising awareness of the increasing needs of the military community by working with government agencies, service organizations, churches, and private sector businesses to combine resources.
By taking our message to public events, media outlets, social media, and service organizations we can more effectively reach Veterans in crisis and make a life-saving impact on the Veteran community.
We were blessed to attend a fundraiser event for Mission X Mission; a nonprofit organization that umbrellas MXTV, A Safe Place Online, and Mission X Media. Collectively, their mission is to create endless opportunities for young people to find Jesus.
In 1997, Mission X Mission created one of the first Christian TV shows on cable television; MXTV. Currently airing on 23 Christian cable TV networks globally in over 150 countries, with over 220+ episodes in 8 languages. MXTV speaks real, life-changing truth, empowering young people to find Jesus and truly live. In early 2020, Mission X Mission launched A Safe Place Online, a ministry providing real-time chat/text help & hope for people in crisis. “ASPO” is impacting many people worldwide, with thousands accepting Christ each month. Learn more at asafeplaceonline.com, and through our social accounts linked below. In January 2021, A Safe Place Online group was created on Facebook providing community and discipleship.
Mission X Media is the online division of MXTV, delivering original content via the MXTV app on Apple and Android devices, Smart TVs, including ROKU, Amazon Firestick, Google Play, and the social media profiles listed below.
Kids meal’s mission is to end childhood hunger by delivering free healthy meals to the doorsteps of Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration provide their families with resources to help end the cycle of poverty.
Kids’ Meals is a first responder to children age 5 and under facing debilitating hunger due to extreme poverty. Every weekday, year-round, volunteers prepare thousands of healthy lunches consisting of a sandwich, nutritious snack, fruit item, and 100% juice or milk. Our 11 vans deliver the meals M-F to children enrolled in our program. We currently serve 42 Houston-area zip codes where the need is critical.
Elijah Rising was founded in 2012 as a prayer gathering that focused on ending sex trafficking in Houston. Across Houston women and girls were being sold for sex, but there was little outcry, so Elijah Rising began hosting Van Tours and showing the public that sex trafficking is happening across our city.
Community Family Centers‘ goal and mission are to equip families with the tools they need to become self-sufficient members of the community. Through their four core programs, they strive to help families break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy so that they can move toward self-sufficiency and economic advancement.
